INVIRA CORPORATE POLICIES

Code of Conduct

Our commitment to integrity, professional excellence, and ethical standards in compliance with UAE regulations.

1. Purpose and Scope

This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour we expect from everyone who works with or represents us. This includes our employees, directors, officers, suppliers, and business partners.

We operate in full compliance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the countries where we do business. Where our internal standards are higher than local minimum legal requirements, we follow this Code.

2. Our Core Principles

  • Integrity: We conduct our business transparently, honestly, and with the highest ethical standards. We do not tolerate bribery or corruption in any form.
  • Cultural Respect: We respect the culture, heritage, and values of the UAE and the local communities where we operate.
  • Safety and Health: We prioritize a safe, secure, and healthy working environment for everyone, and we never compromise safety for commercial gain.
  • Accountability: We take responsibility for our actions and ensure our public statements are accurate and made in good faith.

3. Our Workplace and People

Equal Opportunity and Merit

We believe in building a team based on talent, capability, and performance. We provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants. We do not tolerate unfair discrimination based on race, color, sex, religion, national or social origin, age, or disability. We actively support the UAE’s socioeconomic development goals, including national talent development and Emiratisation initiatives.

Mutual Respect and Professional Decorum

We maintain a professional workspace where everyone is treated with dignity. We do not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, or intimidation—whether physical, verbal, or psychological. We ask our team to maintain professional decorum and attire that respects the cultural and social norms of the UAE. We respect the individual privacy of our employees. We have no involvement in personal life outside of work unless it affects job performance, creates a conflict of interest, or impacts the company’s reputation.

Human Rights and Labor Standards

We are fully committed to ethical employment practices. We strictly prohibit child labour and forced labour in our operations and supply chains. In compliance with UAE regulations, the company does not hold or retain personal identification documents, including employee passports. All personal documents remain in the possession of the employee. We do not charge or accept recruitment fees from candidates seeking employment.

Digital Responsibility and Privacy

The UAE has clear laws regarding digital communication and privacy. We expect responsible behaviour online:

  • Employees must protect company, client, and colleague data, ensuring it is handled in line with UAE data protection laws.
  • Personal social media use must not be used to publish defamatory, misleading, or inappropriate comments about the company, its partners, or employees.
  • Unauthorised photography, filming, or audio recording on company premises is prohibited to protect confidentiality and individual privacy.

Outside Employment and Conflicts of Interest

We expect our team to act in the best interests of the company.

  • Conflicts of Interest: Employees must disclose any personal or family business relationships with our competitors, suppliers, or customers.
  • Outside Work: To ensure focus and comply with UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) guidelines, employees must obtain written approval from the company before taking on secondary employment, freelance roles, or running a personal business.

Substance Policy

To protect safety and ensure legal compliance:

  • The possession, use, or distribution of illegal drugs or unauthorized controlled substances at our workplaces or during company business is strictly prohibited.
  • Alcohol is prohibited during working hours and on company premises, except during authorized corporate events that comply fully with local UAE laws.

4. Our Customers and Business Partners

  • Quality Standards: We deliver products and services that meet high-quality benchmarks and comply with UAE consumer protection, packaging, and labelling laws.
  • Fair Competition: We support open and fair markets. We compete purely on the merit of our services and do not engage in anti-competitive agreements or misleading statements about competitors.
  • Gifts and Hospitality: Business gifts and hospitality must be modest, professional, and transparent. They should never be frequent or valuable enough to create a sense of obligation or a conflict of interest.
  • Supplier Alignment: We select our supply chain partners fairly and transparently. We work with partners who share our commitment to ethical, legal, and environmental standards.

5. Our Community and Environment

  • Environmental Impact: We look for practical ways to reduce waste, conserve water and energy, and minimize our environmental footprint.
  • Corporate Citizenship: We aim to be a positive presence in the UAE community, ensuring our operations support local economic and social progress.

6. Speaking Up and Raising Concerns

We encourage our employees, clients, and partners to report any behaviour that violates this Code, company policy, or applicable law.

Available reporting channels include your immediate line manager or the Human Resources Department.

Our Commitment to Non-Retaliation: We strictly prohibit retaliation or unfair treatment against anyone who reports a concern in good faith. Any employee who engages in retaliatory behaviour will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
